Let's Jam!!

Tonight I went to a canning demonstration at my library by the author of Preserving by the Pint. It's small batch canning for folks like me with a CSA membership and just a bit too much fruit on my hands -- but not enough to put up a few dozen jars. Marisa, the author and writer on this blog , made a vanilla plum jam in the hour-long session. All that was left to do at the end was cool the two half-pint jars and eat them. That. Was. It. Fresh Berries and Pink Yogurt

I love my morning snack of homemade yogurt mixed with fresh berries. Now that it's summer, those berries are fresh and local -- direct from my CSA pickup. Deeeeeeelicious!! Triple Berry Medley! Yum! Who Want a Taste? I just love how the squishy raspberries turn the yogurt pink. If I really stir it, it gets BRIGHT pink.  Geez ... Pink is everywhere in my world right now. Pink is the new pink, people! Think pink!

We came home with four of these baskets filled with ruby red deliciousness  And have been eating strawberries at every meal since. Plus, we're frozen about half for smoothies. Don't you just love summer? Nothing Says Summer Like Strawberries
